VisionCare Development combines expert behavioural optometry with educational insight at its York-based centre on 28 York Road, Acomb, York YO24 4LZ, offering full vision assessments, amblyopia (lazy eye) treatment, and specialised therapy for visual learning difficulties such as dyspraxia, retained reflexes and reading challenges. A multidisciplinary team—made up of a highly experienced behavioural optometrist (Ruth Perrott MBE), movement-for-learning specialists and special‑needs educators—works together to diagnose and treat motion sickness, brain injury-related vision issues, visual stress and related disorders in both children and adults. Tailored programmes include Vivid Vision therapy, travel-sickness glasses, auditory processing therapy and movement-based learning interventions to support balance, posture and visual integration.
