Essendene Lodge School

Essendene Lodge Preparatory School and Nursery is a well-established preparatory school in the heart of Caterham.

Often described as a ‘hidden gem’ the school enjoys a history of providing a well-rounded education for boys and girls from 2 to 11 years.

The school is nearly 60 years old, founded by Mrs Shirley Haydock in 1966 the school has achieved outstanding reputation in the local community and has remained outstanding in inspections over the years.

Mrs Haydock’s ethos of small class sizes and providing a nurturing and a genuine family friendly school is upheld to this day.
